Who we are
Jam Rig is operated by Michael Jenkins. This notice covers the getjamrig.com website, its free browser tools, the Jam Rig desktop app and Jam Rig FX plugin, and purchases. For privacy questions or requests, email support@getjamrig.com.
The website
You can browse without an account. Cloudflare, our hosting provider, processes technical information, such as your IP address and the pages you request, to deliver and protect the website. We do not use advertising trackers.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand visits and improve the website. A small script reports page views, referring websites, browser and device information, country, and page-load timings to Cloudflare. It does not use cookies or local storage for analytics, fingerprint visitors, or track people across websites. We view aggregated statistics. See Cloudflare Web Analytics and Cloudflare's Privacy Policy for more information.
Web Looper and Jam Beats
The Web Looper saves recent videos, loop points, and markers in your browser. Jam Beats saves your beats in your browser. Neither is uploaded to us, and clearing this site's browser data removes them, so keep backups of beats you want to keep. Choosing Open in Jam Rig or Save to Jam Rig passes the beat or loop to the desktop app on your own computer.
The recently loaded list is shown from local browser storage. Loading a video requests its player and video details from YouTube, which receives the video ID and your IP address. YouTube may use cookies and process device information under its own privacy policy.
The desktop app and Jam Rig FX
The app does not collect analytics. Jam Rig makes the following license and update requests:
| When | Sent to | What is sent |
|---|---|---|
| Activating a license | Lemon Squeezy, our licensing provider | Your license key, operating-system name, and a short device code derived from a hashed device identifier |
| License check, about once a week when online | Lemon Squeezy | Your license key and the activation ID for this computer |
| Deactivating a computer | Lemon Squeezy | Your license key and the activation ID |
| Checking for updates (you can turn this off in Settings) | getjamrig.com | A request for update information, including the app version and operating system |
These requests also expose your IP address to the receiving provider. The device code links an activation to your computer and license; it is pseudonymous rather than anonymous.
Your presets, setlists, songs, recordings, and practice files stay on your computer. Crash reports and logs are saved on your computer and are only sent to us if you choose to email them.
Links and searches you choose open external services in your browser, where those services' privacy policies apply. Third-party plugins may make their own network connections under their own policies.
Purchases
Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record for Jam Rig. It collects your name, email address, billing country, and payment details to process your order, charge tax, and prevent fraud, under its own privacy policy. We receive your name, email address, country, and order details so we can deliver your license and help you. We never see your full card number.
Emailing us
If you email support, we use your address and message to answer you. Please don't send passwords or payment details. Including your license key is fine when asking about activation.
How long we keep information
We keep support emails for as long as we need them to help you, and order records for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Website analytics reports are available in Cloudflare for up to six months.
Your choices
You can ask us to show, correct, or delete the information we hold about you by emailing us. We don't sell personal information or share it for advertising.
Children
Jam Rig isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
If we change how Jam Rig handles information, we'll update this page and its effective date.
